We have been preparing the home for a visit from our good photography friend
Stacey Viera all the way from Washington DC. Please check out her awesome website and amazing photography. She also does a weekly food blog with one of her friends-
Every Food Fits. It will be fun to share a little bit of Texas with her.

So the other day I got a catalogue from The Republic of Tea and a free tea bag sample.
Ok. They sent this catalogue to the right person! I was so excited to see that they offer a
matcha tea bag (normally you would buy the powder). The powder tends to be some what expensive ($26 I think for 2 oz). My tea arrived today and I made it after my shower this evening. I think its my new favorite. Just the right amount of flavor, no aftertaste. It was so warm and delicious! I may see if World Market carries it. I would love to give it as a stocking stuffer!
I went to Target and Old Navy yesterday on the hunt for
miscellaneous items. I held back all urges to purchase anything for Christmas. Well. Almost. I did buy this years Christmas Cards. While making my way to the check out counter I had to breeze by all of their stocking
stuffers!
Ohhhhhh they had some cute things. I just couldn't resist this candy cane headband!!!! I thought that it would be perfect for photos this holiday season.

The countdown to the Regina concert has started! A week from tomorrow we are in the 4
th row at the
Nokia Theater in Grand
Prarie to see Regina
Spektor. I really can't wait. We are going to have so much fun.
Well now its time to do the shopping list for tomorrow. I will be making a "Lauren Mega Salad". If you haven't seen my photos of them that I upload on
facebook----I take an ear or two of corn, chop up an orange or yellow bell pepper, and some pine nuts, spritz them with Josh's olive oil mixture and then roast them at 350 for about 15-20 minutes. Then I toss them in a big bowl of fresh lettuce, throw in some chicken and little
tomatoes. If avocados are ripe then I get one to put in also. I am on a peppercorn ranch dressing kick, so that's probably what we will have tomorrow. I could eat giant salads every day. Second to sushi, a salad is my favorite thing to eat. I also have to get a handful of things so that I can do a little baking on Friday. Should be a great weekend!
